Is there anything you won't take?

We cannot accept or haul away any hazardous materials, including:

  • Asbestos
  • Chemicals
  • Oil, oil drums or tanks (unless empty and top and bottom are cut out)
  • Paint
  • Solvents

Why don't you take hazardous materials?

Junk King is not licensed to haul or dispose of hazardous materials. Your local county recycling or waste management center can advise how to properly dispose of hazardous materials.

Are you just handymen with a truck or are you licensed to do this work?

Our employees are fully-trained. Our company, trucks and employees are fully licensed, bonded and insured.

How much do you charge?

Our reasonable, competitive and affordable charges are based on the volume of junk you have to be hauled away. See How We Price.

Will you give me an estimate when I schedule an appointment?

Our affordable pricing is based on the volume of junk you want taken away, so we need to actually see your junk to give you an accurate estimate. We'll schedule your appointment, and our Junk King team will give you an estimate when they arrive.

How long will I have to wait for an appointment?

In most cases, we offer same-day appointments. Otherwise, we can almost always provide a next-day appointment, or whatever day you prefer.

Will I have to wait around all day for your drivers?

We consider all-day, and even 4-hour appointments unacceptable! We schedule all appointments within a 2-hour timeframe that is most convenient for you. Our driver will call you 15 - 20 minutes before he arrives to let you know he is on the way.

Do I have to be home when you come?

We prefer someone be at the site when our trucks arrive, and offer very flexible appointments to accommodate your schedule. Our drivers call 15 - 20 minutes before they arrive to let you know they are on the way. If someone cannot be home, please contact us and we will make every effort to make unique arrangements to accommodate you.

I need my job done after normal business hours. Can you do that?

Sure! Just contact us and let us know what you need. Our last two-hour appointment window is between 4:00-6:00 p.m. If that doesn't work for you, contact us to make special arrangements.

What type of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, personal checks, company checks and cash. We're happy to invoice our commercial customers who have established a credit relationship with us.

What do you do with all the junk?

We separate anything and everything that can be recycled. We've saved tons of junk from landfills by recycling:

  • 1,000,000 lbs. copper, aluminum, wiring and other scrap metals
  • 420,000 lbs. plastic, paper and recyclables
  • 245,000 lbs. computer equipment
  • 150,000 lbs. miscellaneous junk

908 TONS saved from local landfills

We sort and donate anything that can be reused to local charities. We properly dispose of anything left over at the waste transfer station or local landfill

Can you move my stuff from one location to another?

We do not have the proper vehicles or licensing to transport items for moving or relocation purposes. However, we have partnered with several professional moving companies and can provide you with their contact information. We are able to provide you with labor within the property if it is combined with our junk removal services. Please call us to discuss your specific request.

What equipment do you use?

Two courteous, uniformed, well-trained and able-bodied employees drive up to your location equipped with shovels, rakes, a dolly, and other supplies as requested or needed. We do not carry ladders or operate machinery.

How big are your trucks?

Our truck box is 12 feet long, 8 feet wide and 5 feet high, with a total capacity of 18 cubic yards. Our trucks are larger than those of our competitors, so we can haul more of your junk at a more competitive price.

Why shouldn't I choose one of your competitors?

Good question! Our trucks have greater capacity, so we can haul more. In most cases, we provide same-day appointments. Our staff is courteous, professional and reliable. And we always beat any competitor's estimate.
And remember, Junk King is "America's fastest and greenest junk removal service."

Why is Junk King better than using a dumpster?

Using a dumpster isn't the most desirable or cost effective way to deal with commercial junk. A dumpster takes up space, it doesn't exactly blend in with the landscaping, and there's the common problem of passersby filling it to get rid of their own garbage. With a dumpster, you do all the loading, hauling and clean up. And you pay for the entire bin, no matter how much you use. Some cities don't even allow dumpsters. In contrast, our services are cost-effective because we charge you only for the amount we take away and we're there whenever you need us. We do all the work and all the cleanup, from start to finish.
