He believes that as much as possible usable and recyclable junk must be kept out of landfills because landfills are a limited resource. Junk King recycles or donates 60% of its haul, which Stew and his team love to do. Stew’s community work includes donating to charities and food banks.

Junk King was founded in Silicon Valley in 2005 by two childhood friends. The company has since grown to 50 branches all over North America.
