E-Waste Recycling In Phoenix

Spring officially arrived on March 22nd and for many baseball fans, that was welcome news. It meant that spring training can kick into high gear and that puts opening day at just weeks away. This year, the Arizona Diamondbacks and Phoenix are going to try something a bit different with their training regimes. They are teaming up for the first “Zero Waste Spring Training” at the Salt River Fields in Scottsdale. During a practice game between the Diamondbacks vs. Seattle Mariners, volunteers will demonstrate for the fans in the stands where to properly dispose of ballpark trash. That includes placing eating utensils in recycling bins and the leftover hot dog or nachos in the compost bins. The vendors are also getting into the act by switching over to biodegradable products such as paper trays or plastic utensils.

Although achieving zero waste is a loft goal, city officials hope this program will fall in line with the 40% diversion objective. They hope that by 2020, at least 40% of all trash created in Phoenix will be kept out of the landfills. Perhaps that will start with an empty box of Crackerjacks!

You don’t have to head out to the ballpark to step up your recycling gain. There are plenty of items around your home that can be properly disposed off. Think outside of the recycle bin and instead focus on e-waste. This would be all those items like computers, printers, fax machines, copies, phones, televisions and monitors. Those are the kinds of objects that definitely should be kept out of landfill. That can happen when you hire Junk King to take care of all your e-waste recycling.

Junk King has become the perfect eco-friendly partner for Phoenix’s recycling goals. You don’t even have to ask if your junk items can be recycled. The Junk King crew will do it automatically. When it comes to e-waste recycling, that is a no-brainer. If an item can be donated to a charity for refurbishing, then Junk King is going to insure that it gets dropped off at a certified recycling facility.

Just because Junk King is handling your e-waste, recycling doesn’t mean they won’t be able to pick up the rest of your junk. On that same truckload that holds you old TV, you can also get rid of your unwanted furniture, mattress, appliances or other household rubbish. You’ll feel great knowing you’re doing your part to help keep Phoenix green with responsible e-waste recycling. Let Junk King show you how.
