Where To Go On Spring Break In Houston

One of the biggest responsibilities as a parent is to be social director for your kids. You’ve got to find ways to fill up their days with fun. This is why school is such a great thing. It gives you that break where the teachers take over the planning! On spring break, it all shifts back to you. Where can you go on spring break in Houston? Here are some fun ideas to consider:

Splashway Waterpark & Campground

Warmer weather means kids want to get splashing. At Splashway, that is the order of the day. This place sports Texas’ tallest head-first mat racer waterslide and a lazy river float. Which one will you be spending more time on? There is also a well-maintained campground with 50 family-friendly cabins and 130 RV hookups. It can be a nice little vacation spot that is just an hour and half from Houston.

Houston Zoo

Kids love zoos and there is always something new to discover at the Houston Zoo. There are Meet the Keep talks every half hour where visitors can watch feedings and ask questions of the folks who are taking care of the animals. There is also a Water Play Park and Zoo Crew experiences. You can easily spend and entire day here.

Children’s Museum of Houston

If your kids like to take things apart and put them back together, then this is the place for them. There are 14 hands-on exhibits that include the opportunity for kids to program a robot and make inventions. Membership offers even more special discounts and events. Worth signing up for.

Brazos Bend State Park

Maybe the best spring break activity is the simplest: Just hang out at a park all day. Brazos Bend is 5,000 acres of greenery that offers biking, fishing, hiking, birding and camping. Lots to explore here for sure.

If your kids get fired up to go off on one of these spring break adventures, then you might be able to motivate them to clean up their rooms first. While they’re taking care of that, Junk King Houston can take care of removing your bigger items. These would be all the things you wish you could get rid of if only you had movers and a truck. That’s what Junk King provides. You’ll enjoy spring break a lot more after Junk King Houston has cleared away all you unwanted rubbish. Huge relief!
