Pittsburgh Junk Removal In 2014

There aren’t any Pittsburgh residents who want to hear the words “sub-zero cold.” However, in the last several weeks it seems like that is all we’ve been subjected to! Even if the thermometers don’t make it official, it still felt like sub-zero cold. There are many precautions that folks need to take when the temps drop to below freezing. That also applies to the city workers. The snowplows and salt crews have to work around the clock but the garbage pickups are often delayed. That’s what happened recently when the garbage trucks were kept off the street for a day. Like the holidays, this had a ripple effect all across Pittsburgh. It was also a reminder of how dependent we are on our municipal services. Of course, there are some jobs that you’re better off doing on your own or at least with a little profession help.

Cranberry Township Junk Removal

When it comes to picking up the weekly garbage around Cranberry, nothing beats the Collection Connection. This is the township’s “trademarked residential solid waste collection service.” They’ve provided every home with a gray, green, and blue recycling container. They also have some detailed guidelines about what you can and can’t throw out. The gray bin is for all the general trash. Blue is for recycling and green for yard waste. With the yard waste, it is only collected between April and mid-December. Is that because nobody has any yard debris in the winter? Are they trying to tell us to surrender to the snow?
