Orange County Grill Disposal and Recycling

For most of the country, grilling season begins on Memorial Day and wraps up on Labor Day. Sure, there might be sporadic instances of grilling throughout the year but most folks really don’t think about grilling when it gets cold. Fortunately here in the OC every day is a sunny day but that doesn’t mean we haven’t experience the occasional cold snap of winter. If you’re going to fire up the grill when the temperature dips you should consider these helpful tips:

Yes, bundle up but hold off on the scarves and hats with dangling tassels. Nothing wrong with making a hip fashion statement but not around an open flame. Keep an watch on which way the wind is blowing. Even if you have a propane lighter, there could still be some flying embers of blackened food that could fly off. Just make sure your grill is at least 10 feet away from any combustible items. In fact, that’s good advice all year round. You’ll also want to pay attention to your burners. Did you know that yellow flames on a grill could be the indication of a clogged air inlet or that your burners need adjustments? Now you do!

The colder it is outside the longer it will take to pre-heat your grill. Make sure to factor that into your cooking time and keep the lid down to store the heat. If for any reason your flame blows out, turn off the propane, open the lid and let the gas escape for several minutes before you try to relight. Propane is a heavy gas and can hang into the air over the grill.

All of those tips work when your grill is working. If you’ve got a bar-b-que which has seen better days it might be time to swap it out for a new and improved model. Because this is California, you won’t have a hard time finding a bar-b-que grill store that is open for business. This is a terrific time to buy as the stores are eager to move out their old models to make way for the summer stock. Naturally, you’ll have to make room for your new grill by tossing out the old one. We know what you’re thinking: “Easier said than done.” Actually, it is extremely easy to get rid of your grill when you hire Junk King OC. In fact, a rusty grill is a perfect example of the type of junk that Junk King can expertly remove from your home. It’s too bulky for the trashcan and would need a truck to cart off. That’s right up Junk King’s alley. Whether you’re tossing out an old grill, furniture, appliances or any other oversize piece of junk, Junk King Orange County is the only way to go!
