For instance, you could have an “all zombie” party which means no matter what they are wearing, they have to zombie it up. Another great party theme is superhero. While you’ll certainly have your fair share of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman you could also encourage your guests to create their own superhero and see what they come up with. No matter what the costume theme, you should definitely have a prize for the best outfit!

This is probably more advice for parties with kids involved. You could fire up a game of Zombie Tag which is really just “Marco Polo” out of the pool. Then there is the old school bobbing for apples which is everyone’s favorite. There are also many cookie decorating kits you could make available to the kids to spice up their own ghost, pumpkin or witch sugar cookies. The same idea can be used for decorating cupcakes. Of course, these “decorations” won’t last very long as they will be quickly gobbled up.

There are plenty of wonderful ideas for Halloween party menus that don’t have to do with candy. Although, there’s nothing wrong with Halloween candy! Pizza Mummies are pizza bagels with mozzarella cheese as “wrappings” and two olives are “mummy eyes.” You can slice up hot dogs into long “worms” and serve them up that way. Pick Up the Clutter
While you’ll definitely want to decorate your home with all manner of appropriate spider webs, scarecrows and other Halloween art, you should first consider giving the place a complete clean up to make room for the party.
