Later on, hydrotherapy pumps were introduced by the firm Jacuzzi, and fiberglass shell hot tubs appeared around 1970. Not long after, those were being replaced by cast acrylic shells.
But they don’t last forever.
A hot tub can last anywhere from five to twenty years. But many are made of less expensive components, and those manufactured with lower-quality materials don’t last as long. And, as is often the case, hot tubs that are not well maintained may not last more than five years.
