Why Business Junk Removal Matters
[This article was originally published in September 2020 and has been revised and updated.]
If you're a business owner or manager, it's likely that your enterprise is considered a "small business" by the SBA. But your junk removal needs may not be small.
Even if your company is made up of just a half a dozen employees, for example, junk removal can be a recurring necessity that you aren't set up to take care of effectively. So, what can you do?
Most Business-to-Business Services Involve "Small Businesses"
In the United States, the term "small business" usually evokes an image of a "mom-and-pop" shop like a local nail salon or smog shop. And this is accurate. However, the government likes to make things a bit more complicated. And then a bit more!
According to Fundera.com,
"Depending on your industry, a small business could be defined as business with a maximum of 250 employees or a maximum of 1,500 employees. They’re privately owned corporations, partnerships, or sole proprietorships that have less revenue than larger businesses."
As you can see, this range is based solely on the number of employees. However, the SBA also factors in annual gross revenue and industry type.
The SBA website points out the following,
"The SBA assigns a size standard to each NAICS code. Most manufacturing companies with 500 employees or fewer, and most non-manufacturing businesses with average annual receipts under $7.5 million, will qualify as a small business."
For many of us, a business with 500 employees may not seem like a "small" business concern.
On the other extreme, a business of two people - often a husband and wife - may not seem like a business at all - unless it's yours, of course!
Regardless of their actual size, companies that are ranked as "small businesses" make up 99.9% of all U.S. firms. In other words, small businesses are a big part of the United States' economy. As the folks at Oberlo recently noted,
"The strengthening United States economy in recent years has nurtured many opportunities for entrepreneurs, with the number of small businesses in the US on the rise. In 2022, the number of small businesses in the US reached 33.2 million, making up nearly all (99.9 percent) US businesses."
While some may dispute the current state of the economy as being particularly strong, many of those businesses that were launched prior to 2020 are still hanging in there.
A recent survey by Guidant Financial offered up this data in their Small Business Trends 2022 report:
And some recent small business information that gives us a look at some facets of business ownership in the U.S. in 2022 include:
- 20% of small businesses are owned by women
- 30% of small business owners have a bachelor's degree
- Small business applications increased by 24%
- 1.2 million jobs were supported by small business loans since the pandemic
- 98% of each industry is comprised of small businesses
Some Small Business Info You Can Identity With
Have you ever wondered about the small business world in the United States?
It is an incredibly significant component of not only the economy here in the U.S., but of the global economy and of our social world.
And the diversity of owners, business types, motivations, and so on is as broad as our country!

However, despite all the myriad of differences and distinctions among business and business owners, they all have one thing in common: they all need business junk removal.
It may only be a few times a year, or it may be something that has to be a few times every month. And the chances are high that this is not only a task these owners could do without, but that is a task they are not well equipped for.
Which is why Junk King specializes in commercial junk removal. Because business junk matters.
Business Junk Removal and Your Company
It is fair to believe that all smaller businesses strive to be the best they can be, especially as they compete against larger businesses in their market. Consequently, these businesses rely on other businesses - vendors, contractors, suppliers, etc. - to do the same.
This is critical as the quality of services and products they receive either adds or subtracts from their own.
This is just as true for junk removal services.
Business junk removal matters for companies that are limited on time, money, and resources. The service is necessary and the quality of that service matters, as well.
Which is why it is really not a good idea to simply hire the cheapest guy around who advertises on the side of a beat-up truck. Not only is this type of vendor less likely to be bonded and insured, the quality of service and the reliability can often be suspect or simply lacking.
In addition, you can almost guarantee that none of your business junk will be reused or recycled if you take this seemingly low-cost route.
On the other hand, speed, efficiency, and fair pricing are the hallmarks of a quality business junk removal firm. And small business owners and managers know that not every service provider out there can actually deliver.
This is why finding and hiring a professional team for business junk removal matters.
