For most businesses there are just two options for taking care of large junk or debris hauling projects:
- You do it yourself (i.e. your staff does it!).
- You have to pay someone to do it for you.
A word of caution here: Don't fall into the fiscal mind trap of thinking that "doing it yourself" is going to save you money. You may avoid paying someone to do it but it will take up your time, and time is money.
It takes time for your employees to stage the debris and junk, to load it onto a suitable vehicle, and then transport it to a suitable facility for disposal. Once there, they have to unload it all, and then return the borrowed or rented truck, and then take time to get back to your workplace.
Actually the cost is "double" in that employees who are hauling and disposing of junk are not doing the work you are actually paying them to do, so the loss of productivity - that you're still paying for - is costing you money.
