It takes a special kind of business owner to purposely surround themselves with junk all day long. However, that is exactly what Pete McCreary has been doing for the last four and half years. As owner of the Junk King Cincinnati franchise, Pete and his crews of dedicated workers have been helping homeowners and businesses remove tons of clutter from their property. This can often be extremely challenging work but Pete wouldn’t want to have it any other way.

When asked what attracted Pete to the Junk King business, his answer was simple and perfect: “Helping those that are older and their families to properly dispose of their life’s accumulation with recycling, donating, repurposing items as well as offering a valuable removal service.” Often this will mean that folks need to have junk removal taken care of in a very prompt manner. Pete is happy to be standing by to provide this special kind of on demand type of service.

Most home clean ups are accomplished with very little fuss. Of course, in his time as Junk King Cincinnati owner, Pete has had his fair share of challenging junk removal sessions.

“We took out seven truck loads out of a recently flooded commercial basement in Over-The-Rhine. Every single load had to be taken up 15 stairs,” Pete recalls. “Later that year, we went back and had to clean out the attic of the same building which required us to remove 2 to 4 truckloads of junk walking every load down four floors of stairs.” When Junk King says they do all the work, they mean it and that includes all the stair climbing!

Part of the Junk King business model that Pete is happy to be a part of is the eco-friendly disposal policy. Junk King wants each franchise to set up their own relationships throughout the community to help with this green way of doing business.

“Cincinnati has great nonprofit resources for donations and recycling and people are definitely seeing the value in recycling more and more,” Pete is happy to report. “Also, the people of Cincinnati are great people.”

Although the bulk of Junk King Cincinnati has to do with convenient pickups, Pete is happy to announce that their new location is up and running and able to take drop offs. Getting rid of junk got a whole lot easier thanks to Junk King Cincinnati.
