Colorado Springs Trash Outs

“What we’ve got now isn’t working,” says Pueblo City Council woman Sandy Daff. She’s talking about the current garbage collection system. “You only have to see the sofas in the alleys and trash everywhere to see that we’ve got to change something.” One of the proposals is to break up the city into 18 separate districts that would be serviced by a single trash company. Everyone would have trash pickup and recycling services but no choice as to who is doing the work. The hope is that the trash which is being dumped where it shouldn’t be will stop. In other words, the city wants to take charge of the trash. Are you in charge of your trash?

At any given time of the day, our kitchen garbage pails can top off. You might try squashing down the garbage to get a couple more inches of space but ultimately, that trash has to be taken out by somebody. That’s not that big of deal unless you have a teen that is charge of that chore! However, there is some other trash that can’t be tossed out. Those would be all the stuff you can’t fit into the garbage can. Things like a sofa, chair, dishwasher or car tire. Then there is a whole list of things you shouldn’t throw out even if you could. This would be all the e-waste items like old computers, printers, copiers, monitors or TVs. They have to be carefully taken apart to be disposed of but they’re still trash. When you’ve got big trash then you’ve got to call a big company. That would be Junk King Colorado Springs. They’re handling all the huge trash pickups in Colorado Springs and beyond.

Once you book a removal appointment with Junk King you’ll be amazed at how fast and efficient they work. Before they get to your place, the JK team will call fifteen minutes early to give you a head’s up. As soon as they pull up in the truck, you can direct them to where your trash is and they’ll take it from there. This means you don’t have to carry anything out to the curb or down steps. Let the pros handle that. After the truck is loaded, the Junk King crew will be making another stop to a recycling center or refurbishing facility. That’s because they want to make sure all of your junk is disposed of the green way. That’s what’s good for Colorado. Whether your trash pile is big or small, Junk King is the only way to go!

Pueblo Colorado Junk Removal

Over at Lake Pueblo State Park there is a lot of wind kicking up. That means a lot of debris gets “dropped off” where it shouldn’t be. “In Pueblo and Pueblo West we get a lot of wind and so it definitely blows a lot of debris in and around,”  said Park Ranger Darcy Mount. “We get a lot of trash. It’s not necessarily from people being bad, although some of it is, but the wind blows a lot of stuff in. Lots of camping and picnicking things, and also lots of fishing debris.”

That is why the annual clean up event sponsored by Colorado Parks and Wildlife is so important. Try as they might, those Park Rangers can’t keep up. This past Earth Day, over a 100 volunteers showed up at the park and were given gloves and orange bags to fill up. They were then sent off to the four corners of the park to get to work.

“We have about 20,000 acres to choose from, and we gave people maps and let them decide where they’d like to go,” Mount said. “People went all over the wildlife area and the park itself.”

Among the list of items that they found in the past were old tires, construction waste and other oversized items. Happily they reported that this year all they picked up was “trash.” That’s still bad for the park but at least it hasn’t become an illegal dumping ground. At the end of the pickup day, the volunteers were given a BBQ lunch to thank them for their hard work.

“The park looks awesome this morning,”  Park Ranger Mount said on Monday after the clean up. “It does your heart good. It’s nice that other people care about the park as much as the Park Rangers do.”

How are you doing with your own trash removal project? Sure, you get your weekly garbage pickup but what about the big stuff you’ve been keeping in storage in your garage or down in the basement? Or what about the piles of things in your backyard like construction waste or pieces of broken up concrete? When you’re ready to toss all of that out, Junk King Colorado Springs will be ready to help.

Here are the three steps for your Pueblo CO removal project:

Step 1: Call us at 1-888-888-JUNK or go online to arrange the time best for you.

Step 2: We call 15 minutes before we arrive and provide a free estimate, which includes labor, dumping fees, transportation and taxes. No hidden costs!

Step 3: We remove your clutter and unwanted items, and sweep up afterwards. No more junk!

In many cases Junk King Colorado Springs can offer same day service. Technically that means you can wake up on Monday, decide what you want to get rid of, call Junk King and it will all gone by dinnertime. Hands down, this is the best way to get rid of your junk.
