LA Debris Removal

The space shuttle Endeavour made its last airborne flight strapped to the back of a 747. It was flying to its new home at the California Science Center and like any Hollywood star it had to make a grand entrance. For that final flight, the Endeavour was taken on a tour of Southern California from the Hollywood hills to the beaches of Malibu to the happiest place on earth, Disneyland. Thousands of LA residents we able to snap up pictures of this one-of-a-kind visual before the 747 touched down at LAX. However, that wasn’t the final stop.

To get to the California Science Center, the shuttle needs to be shuttled by flatbed truck 12 miles along the streets of Los Angeles. To make way for that caravan some trees had to come down. How many? Close to 400 trees lining the streets have been chopped, sawed and buzzed down. The locals along the route were told this was the only way because after so many space flights the Endeavour couldn’t be disassembled without risking permanent damage. The trade off is that the Science Center pledged to plant 2 trees for every single tree cut down. They’re also going to offer a lot of classes and guest passes to the neighborhood residents impacted by the disruption.

If you’ve ever watched a professional tree removal crew at work it’s a very efficient process. As they cut down the tree they grind it up into instant mulch. That mulch is then taken to a recycling center where it is reused for other landscaping projects controlled by the city. It’s amazing how fast a big tree can be reduced to a pile of sawdust. Wouldn’t it be great if we could “wood chip” away all the junk in our lives? As fun as that might be it’s not very practical or safe. A wood chipper is not something to play around with. The best method of getting rid of the debris around your home is to call Junk King Los Angeles.

Junk King is fairly new to the Los Angeles area but they are old to the junk removal business. There are branches of Junk King all across the country with more franchises opening up every day. When you’ve identified oversize or heavy items you want removed from your property, a Junk King LA crew will be equally efficient with that task. In less time than it takes to trim a tree, you could have all of your junk removed and properly disposed of. Junk King Los Angeles is the best way forward for your debris removal needs.

Los Angeles Air Conditioner Disposal

Los Angeles has long been classified as a “sunny city.” Even places like Miami and Phoenix who have their fair share of sun also have their fair share of rain storms. Not so much for Los Angeles. Every year we get a few weeks of nasty rain. The rest of the time it’s blue skies and warm weather. With those kinds of conditions it’s no wonder so many locals have embraced the air conditioner. If you’re one of those folks who has an AC unit cranking throughout the day and night perhaps it’s time to take a look at the pros and cons.

First up: the pros. Top of the list would be the fact that sweltering heat can have a negative impact on your mental and physical health. An AC can mitigate some of that. It also improves the level of comfort during work. That in turn is going to help your job performance. If you work in an office building without AC you probably won’t get much of anything done especially if you can’t even open the windows! A lower room temperature reduces the presence of bugs. It also reduces the risk of dehydration. If you’re in a seal room with the AC working then you’re lowering the chances of outdoor allergens to creep into your environment. Depending on the unit itself, you could actually have the air quality improved in the room the AC is being used in.

On the other side of this discussion is the condition that a sudden change in temperature and/or humidity can impact your respiratory system. An AC creates dry air which can affect your skin and mucous membranes. The constant hum of an air conditioner contributes to noise pollution. While it is true that you can keep out external allergens, you run the risk of getting stuck with infectious illness like a cold or flu. Why do you think so many people get sick on airplanes? It’s because if there is a flu bug in the air all you’re doing is circulating it. Air conditioning has also been associated with chronic rhinitis, throat irritation, hoarseness and can cause problems for contact lens wearers.

Then there is the cost. Keeping an air conditioner running is an expensive proposition. You want to cut your household budget then you’ll want to reduce the cost of your electric bills. That means unplugging the AC. Maybe it’s time to get rid of your AC. This is not something you can toss out in the garbage. That’s why you need to call Junk King Los Angeles to dispose of your air conditioner.

Junk King isn’t new to the junk removal business. In fact, they’ve been helping people all across the country with professional junk removal services for years.
