Junk King Goes the Distance, Now and Always
At Junk King, taking care of our customers, employees and franchisees has always been our number one priority. During these unprecedented times, we’re dedicated to ensuring everyone’s health and safety by following guidelines from the CDC and WHO, as well as restrictions put in place by local mayors and governors.

Junk King goes the distance, now and always. While these times are uncertain, we strive to remain positive. Take a look on the bright side with us by exploring some of our latest celebrations and developments below.
2020 growth plans and initiatives
A new era of Junk King is on the horizon. We’re taking major strides in bolstering our industry leadership, franchisee support and digital presence to further solidify Junk King as the go-to junk removal service on a local and national level. We will continue our efforts in making the world a better place for generations to come through our commitment to recycling, repurposing and donating every item that gets picked up by our trucks.
New executive leadership and expansion of the corporate team
Late 2019 and early 2020 ushered in a variety of exciting developments, including the growth of our executive leadership and corporate team. We’re thrilled to welcome aboard Lisa Merry, chief operating officer, and Jeremy Wallace, vice president of business development. Merry joins the Junk King corporate team with extensive franchise leadership knowledge and more than 20 years of experience in leading and working with franchisees, and Wallace leverages a strong strategic vision with years of franchise industry knowledge.
Most recently, the Junk King corporate team saw the addition of Chris Scallan, David Meacham and Ryan Buckles as franchise business consultants. These three members will play an integral part in introducing new initiatives that will help our franchisees transform their daily operations, and in turn, increase sales for the overall success of each Junk King location.
“Dump Truck” and “Lovestruck” campaigns
We hosted our third annual “Dump Trunk” campaign, empowering men and women across the U.S. to heal their heartache once and for all by throwing their ex-lover’s forgotten belongings, such as old photos and gifts, into our trucks for free. Those who are lucky in love and preparing to move in together or upgrade/downsize their homes were given the chance to win a free pickup from Junk King through our “Lovestruck” social media contest. International Women’s Day
March is Women’s History Month, and we celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8 by honoring women who are leaders and entrepreneurs. We highlighted several strong female owners in the Junk King franchise system and shared their words of wisdom. Click here to check out their stories and learn more about their entrepreneurial journeys.
