Lawn Mower Disposal In Richmond

lawn mower disposal RichmondThe big question on everyone’s mind is “Where did the summer go?” It seems like just yesterday that school was letting out. Now the kids are heading back to the classroom. Was it that long ago when you planted a garden? Now you have to get it ready for cooler nights in the fall. How many times did you cut your grass this summer? Before you know it you’ll have to put your lawnmower away.

Yes, when it gets colder and the snow shows up you won’t have to pull out that lawnmower but that doesn’t mean you can take advantage of change in season by actually getting a new lawnmower. It might be that all you really need to do is sharpen the blades on your old model. But if that machine isn’t doing the job anymore then you’ll want to get a new one before next spring.

This is a good time of year to buy a car or a lawnmower. That’s because every salesperson wants to get rid of their summer stock. You should be able to snag a great deal on a mower. Maybe this is the year you upgrade to a power mower instead of the old push kind. Your yard doesn’t have to be acres and acres to benefit from a power mower. It’s all about getting the job done right. Owning a power mower means you’ll need a place to store it. That could be in a backyard shed or in your garage. Do you have the space? You would certainly have more space when you got rid of the old lawnmower. Instead of loading that thing up on the back of your car and driving around looking for a dump, just call Junk King Central VA. They’ll know how to take care of your old lawnmower.

A lawnmower is the perfect example of the kind of junk you need to call Junk King to remove. It’s too big to be thrown out in the garbage and you can’t leave it on the curb for the city garbage men to pickup. They’ll drive right by! Instead Junk King can load up that mower onto the back of their truck without any fuss. The same can be said for all the rest of your junk. Richmond Treadmill and Exercise Machine Removal

There is a new way to shed the pounds coming to Richmond and it’s got a lot of folks fired up. Tidal Wheel is an indoor cycling gym that first opened in Virginia Beach. Now it’s setting up spokes in a 600-square foot storefront over at the West End with an eye towards opening up a second Richmond location.

Co-owners Ryan Kelly and Mike Timms are making the move to Richmond because of family and business ties.

“Indoor cycling stuff has gotten so big in the city that we thought it would be a great business venture to take up,” said Kelly to a local newspaper.

If you’ve never gone spinning then you should definitely give it whirl. The difference with this type of stationary cycling is that you’re guided through a “course” by an instructor. They’ll tell you when to speed up and when to slow down. Taking this approach really works the muscles and gets your metabolism raging. Most of the spinning classes offered at Tidal Wave last 45 minutes and that’s some serious spinning.

The gym will have about 20 cycles but no showers or locker room, because of space constraints.

The studio is expected to open in late August. Monthly membership prices are not yet set, Kelly said, but the gym will probably charge about $20 for a 45-minute class.

“Cycling is sort of a tried and true method of exercise. It’s been around forever,” he said. “It’s not going to be a one- or two-year fad.”

It could be that you already recognize the benefits of stationary cycling which is why you invested in your own home bike. But let’s get real. When was the last time you used that bike on a consistent basis? Sure you started out with good intentions but as with most other things, life got in the way.

Nothing wrong with that except that now your home bike is taking up space and you’re not getting any exercise. On the other hand, if you schedule a class at a place like Tidal Wave you’re going to go. That’s motivation. Want some extra motivation? Get rid of that piece of exercise equipment. Junk King Central VA can certainly lend a hand in that regard.

Junk King are the professional junk haulers based here in Richmond who cart off all kinds of stuff. Something like an exercise bike, treadmill or set of weights is going to take at least two people to move along with a big truck. That’s just what you’ll be getting when you hire Junk King. As long as they’re getting rid of your unused exercise stuff they can also take away any other bulky item you want to get rid of. With Junk King you’ll get that junk out of the way ASAP and leave you plenty of time for spin class!

Richmond VA Appliance Disposal & Recycling

Nobody wants a landfill in their backyard or even close to their backyard. For those folks who already live in the vicinity of a working landfill, they have to keep a dutiful watch out to make sure it is keeping up with the rules and regulations set forth by the state and the EPA. The residents of Woodlake and Brandermill know this all too well as they are raising the red flags about a nearby commercial landfill’s plan to start accepting two new forms of garbage. Specifically these are coal combustion byproducts and automotive shredder reside. These are known in the trash business as fly ash and fluff and they’ve both been found to contain harmful toxins. The residents are banding together to take their concern to the local, state and federal agencies charged with oversight in this kinds of matters. Their concerns are extremely valid.

A landfill exists for only one purpose: to let whatever garbage that is dumped there to degrade and decompose. If all of that garbage was organic like food scraps it wouldn’t be so bad. That’s how you make compost fertilizer. Unfortunately, the garbage at landfills are mostly plastics, metals and other items that when broken down end up reverting back to their chemical foundations. That’s not something you want seeping into the soil or water supplies.

This is why we should recycle. Whenever something is recycled it’s going to be diverted away from the landfill and into a recycling facility where it will be ground up into a mush that can be remade into a useful product. You can easily see where that would work with papers, plastics and soda cans but what about bigger stuff like major kitchen appliances? They can be recycled, too especially if you hire a company like Junk King for the disposal process.

Junk King is dedicated to keeping Richmond green. They are doing their part by insuring that the vast majoring of their collected junk gets dropped off at the area’s many recycling centers. When it comes to the bulky items like appliances, some of those items need to be properly dismantled – this is not an easy job. This applies to a fridge that has Freon. Plastic components are removed and separated from the metal. Not you’ve got two great piles of recyclable materials that belong in the melting furnace as opposed to the landfill.

If you’ve got appliances that you want disposed of then Junk King Central Virginia is your best bet. But you don’t have to stop there. Junk King can also take away any oversized item you want tossed out. Furniture, broken bikes, sporting equipment, car parts, mattresses and even a backyard grill are all fair game to end up on the back of a Junk King truck. Give them a call today to find out how they can work for you.
