This book would end up hitting the reading world by storm, sparking intense debates about human and civil rights to resources, and the things that some people will do to survive while living under the radar in the United States. Evasion today is known as the book that popularized dumpster diving—which, despite the Supreme Court’s protective opinion on it, is difficult to police (and has questionable moral and societal obligations attached to it).
