Earlier this month, Junk King Reno teamed up with GreenVibe World to support Goat Fest, an annual community celebration turning sustainability into a hands-on, family-friendly experience in Northern Nevada.
Hosted by GreenVibe World, a nonprofit focused on environmental stewardship, volunteer engagement, and building a cleaner, stronger community, Goat Fest has grown from a grassroots cleanup initiative into a vibrant event that blends education, action, and fun. It brings together residents of all ages to learn more about sustainability while actively participating in efforts that make a local impact.
This year’s event featured live goats, local vendors, games, educational workshops, and plenty of opportunities for attendees to get involved. Junk King Reno also played a key role by providing on-site dumpsters for textile collection, offering community members an easy way to donate unwanted clothing and fabrics for reuse, repurposing, recycling, or responsible disposal.
The partnership reflects Junk King Reno’s ongoing commitment to diverting usable materials from landfills and supporting systems that keep items in circulation within the community whenever possible.
Junk King Reno extends its sincere thanks to GreenVibe World and everyone who participated in Goat Fest. The strong turnout and community engagement helped turn a fun local event into a meaningful environmental impact effort, benefiting both Northern Nevada families and the environment as a whole.
