The newly renovated Eleanor Tinsley Park on Buffalo Bayou is the place to be this 4th of July. That is where Freedom Over Texas will be happening starting at 4 pm. Clint Black is the headliner of the day. Outside his performance, there will be a Kids Zone with all kinds of fun for the young ones, an American Beer Garden and of course, the big fireworks display happening at 10 pm. This is one of those events where you’ll want to come early and spend time with the family. There will be plenty of food on hand throughout the day. All you have to do is find a place to park and then pick your spot for the fireworks watching.
If you prefer to sit this one out, you might find that a lot of your friends and family feel the same way. After all, there will be a lot of traffic to contend with. Instead, you can gather everyone for a good old fashion backyard barbeque. Better yet, make it potluck and you will hardly have to do any cooking! All you really need to handle is making sure your yard is clear of rubbish.
