Junk King’s “Dump Truck” Event – Dump Your Ex’s Stuff!

Free Junk Drop-Off Event for the Brokenhearted

For the heartbroken, come to our free Dump Truck event and get rid of up to two (2) items from your ex. When you get rid of unwanted items at our event, you’ll also help make a difference during American Heart Month. For each item you drop off, Junk King will donate $1 to the American Heart Association. This is an opportunity for you to let go and move on as you heal emotionally.

When you stop by to drop off your ex’s “junk”, take a photo of your donation and share it with us on Facebook to let everyone know you’re moving on to a bigger and better love story. Remember to tag @JunkKingFranchise with the hashtag #JKDumpTruck.

Get rid of that junk. We’re here for you…

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Junk King having the “Dump Truck” event?

We want to bring awareness to American Heart Month and support the American Heart Association’s efforts in funding research and treatment for heart disease. This our way to give back and get our local community involved in a unique, engaging way.

In fact, for each item that’s dropped off, Junk King will donate $1 to the American Heart Association (up to $500). For the heartbroken, you can get rid of junk, let go and move on, and do good.

How much stuff can I drop off?

Please limit your free junk drop-off to two (2) items and no items heavier than 50 pounds. You are not required to bag your items. Get rid of those old photos, clothes, teddy bears, corny gifts and more.

At this event, we will NOT be able to accept large items (like couches and refrigerators), construction and demolition debris, dirt, sod, concrete and rocks.

Important Note: We cannot take hazardous materials including treated wood.

If you have more items you want to get rid of, you can book an appointment for junk removal. (Remember to get a discount coupon at the event!)

What happens to the stuff I drop off?

We do our best to recycle, reuse, or donate as much as we can. Typically, we recycle up to 60% of everything we haul. The remaining items go to the landfill.
