Meet the Owner

In 2005, Michael Andreacchi, an entrepreneur at his core, co-founded Junk King out of his two-car garage in San Carlos. Since then, he has helped grow Junk King to more than 150 locations across the U.S and Canada while still staying deeply involved with his very first location, Junk King Peninsula. He has built a strong team of dedicated and innovative individuals who continue to find ways to enhance the junk removal experience.

Michael works closely with the general managers of Junk King Peninsula, Jordan and JT, and together they have developed a training program for its crew members to ensure each person who schedules a pickup with Junk King receives unparalleled customer service. The program also gives the crew an opportunity to grow as professionals and build a comradery among all the team members.

“When I started Junk King, I was looking to bring something new and exciting to the junk removal industry. It is no secret the impact human waste has had on the environment. I knew that as a company we were going to do everything we could to help people reduce their environmental footprint and help local communities minimize the waste that goes into their landfills,” adds Andreacchi.“I also knew that providing top-notch customer service was going to be at the core of Junk King’s philosophy. Our crew will always do everything we can to meet the needs of our customers.”

The Peninsula’s Best Commercial Junk Removal

Commercial Junk Removal and the Items We Take

In your business, you’ve probably noticed that the waste management company won’t take all the commercial junk items you place by the dumpsters.

You might be able to arrange for a special pick up and pay them additional fees for that service, but if you need large commercial junk removal needs regularly, that can be costly and unfeasible.

For most commercial junk removal services, your only other option for getting rid of large junk is to do it yourself, or hire someone to do it for you.

While the DIY route may seem cheaper, dumping your own junk may not save you money.

Your employee’s time is required for the job and you’re paying for that time. In addition, your actual cost is doubled since the time spent loading, hauling, and dumping is time your employees are not being productive in your business. So, it costs money to remove and dispose of it and you incur opportunity costs in the process.

We’ve got a solution for you. At Junk King Peninsula we specialize in providing all types of efficient and cost-effective commercial junk removal services.

The Junk King Difference

Junk King began standing out in the junk removal industry from the moment it was founded in 2005. And Junk King Peninsula has continued the tradition and the model here since opening our doors here in San Carlos.

Never content to simply be just another company that happens to haul junk, Junk King Peninsula works hard to rise above the competition in the areas that matter to our customers.

Why Junk King

Areas We Serve

Providing junk removal services to the Peninsula area

According to the San Francisco Chronicle,

“The peninsula that divides the San Francisco Bay from the Pacific Ocean is bounded in the north by San Francisco and in the south by San Jose, but when locals talk about “the Peninsula,” they’re referring to the region just south of San Francisco that encompasses all of San Mateo County plus the northern reaches of Santa Clara County.”

At Junk King Peninsula, we are proud to serve our neighboring communities including:

The proverbial “home” of Junk King, San Carlos sits in the heart of San Mateo County and is also home to close to 31,000 residents. In addition to the delights of the Pulgas Ridge Open Space Preserve, the city provides locals and visitors with the San Mateo County History Museum and the world-renowned Hiller Aviation Museum.San Carlos is also linked to several celebrities and sports figures including MLB legend Barry Bonds and Bobby Bonds, as well as actor and comedian Dan Carvey.

An incorporated town in the Peninsula region, Atherton has just over 7,100 people who call it home. While it is small, Atherton is the location of the Holbrook-Palmer Estate, once an active rural estate and gentleman’s farm. Today, it is a 22-acre public park and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its architecture.Atherton, however, is a stand-out town despite its size. As Wikipedia notes,

“Atherton is known for its wealth; in 1990 and 2019, Atherton was ranked as having the highest per capita income among U.S. towns with a population between 2,500 and 9,999, and it is regularly ranked as the most expensive ZIP Code in the United States.”

Located in the Santa Cruz Mountains with the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Santa Clara Valley to the east, La Honda has a population of just under 1,000 people who call it home.In its early days, La Honda thrived from the lumber industry. Many decades later, Ken Kesey and the once-infamous Merry Pranksters from the early 1960s made La Honda their base of operations.

Well known for Stanford University and the Stanford University Medical Center, Stanford is not an incorporated town or city, but is, instead, a census-designated place (CDP) of almost 16,000 people. However, it has a daily population of about 35,000 because of the campuses and other facilities.Named for the University, Stanford sits mostly on land that is owned by the University. However, the Stanford University Medical Center, the Stanford Shopping Center, and the Stanford Research Park are officially part of the neighboring city of Palo Alto.

According to the 2020 Census, Belmont boasts a population of just over 28,000 residents and is still growing. Home to RingCentral, Inc. and has two sister cities: Namur, Belgium and the city of Belmont, Massachusetts.Unlike many nearby locales that were named for locally famous, or wealthy, individuals, the name Belmont is believed to have been derived from the Italian bel monte, which means “beautiful mountain.” It is thought that the town was named for the “symmetrically rounded eminence” nearby, according to one source.

Bordered by the Los Altos Hills to the west, Palo Alto to the west and northwest, Mountain View to the north and northeast, Sunnyvale to the east, and Cupertino to the southeast, Los Altos is a mid-sized city of just over 30,000 people. The land that the city was founded on back in 1906 was actually purchased by a land company from Sarah Winchester, an American heiress and famous widow of William Wirt Winchester, heir to the Winchester Rifle fortune. She is forever remembered for the Winchester Mystery House.

Palo Alto is in the southeastern section of the San Francisco Peninsula and is a large city of close to 70,000 inhabitants. Palo Alto has two downtown areas: one along University Avenue and one along California Avenue. Although it’s not open to the public, Palo Alto is home to the restored garage that housed the launch of Hewlett-Packard, located at 367 Addison Avenue.Palo Alto has become an economic focal point of Silicon Valley and is home to more than 7,000 businesses employing more than 98,000 people. In addition, many well-known firms were headquartered in Palo Alto at one time, including Google, Facebook, and PayPal.

Even larger than Palo Alto, Redwood City has a population of close to 87,000 and is home to the famous Fox Theatre, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and Union Cemetery, a state historical landmark. In addition, Redwood City is home to its largest employer, Oracle Corporation. The city has a unique and intriguing official slogan.

“Redwood City’s slogan, emblazoned on arches across Broadway at the east and west entrances to downtown, is ‘Climate Best By Government Test.’ This is based on a climatological survey conducted by the United States and German governments prior to World War I. The area centered on Redwood City tied for the world’s best climate with the Canary Islands and North Africa’s Mediterranean Coast.”

Menlo Park sits on the eastern border of San Mateo County and has 33,780 residents according to the 2020 United States Census.
