Pamper Yourself With Junk Removal Services in Richmond Virginia

Just because you live and work in Richmond doesn’t mean you can’t pamper yourself with a weekend getaway by staying right here in the city. As plenty of happy visitors will attest, Richmond has some of the most delightful and inviting bed and breakfast inns in the area. Wouldn’t it be great to get away and let somebody else do the cooking and cleaning? To spend the night in a quiet room and to wake up to a room service breakfast? Just because these inns are in old homes doesn’t mean they aren’t full of modern amenities. You’ll find helpful items like Wi-Fi, cable TV and spa tubs. Depending on where you go you’ll also have working fireplaces in the room and private balconies.

If you shop around for your B&B getaway, you could pick a weekend that is part of wine tasting or local arts festival. It just becomes a matter of surrendering to the pampering. Richmond Debris Removal

The Clean City Commission of Richmond has put together a program which allows community groups to get together and clean-up their neighborhoods. This is a terrific idea for those neighborhoods which have a strong volunteer spirit among the residents. Keep in mind that you don’t have to live in a neighborhood to clean it up. However, there are some guidelines that you’ll need to follow if you’re going to organize such a project. Here are the rules put forth by the Clean City Commission:

“All brush must be cut into 4-foot lengths and bundled for easy pick up by volunteers. A list of addresses where appliances or tires need to be picked up must be submitted by Thursday before your clean-up. The Department of Public Works will provide one truck and driver. A minimum clean-up area of six blocks is recommended. Clean-up hours begin at 8:00 a.m. and end by 11:30 a.m. Clean-ups are not scheduled the Saturday before or following a legal city holiday. Scheduled clean-ups are held rain or shine. If volunteers are not at the designated location at the scheduled start time, the clean-up trucks will be forfeited and there will be a fee of $30.00 per hour for each employee who was on duty waiting. Unacceptable pickup items include: Containers or items weighing more than 50 lbs or building materials.”

There are few things that need to be “unpacked” with those guidelines. While it is nice that the city will provide “one truck and one driver” that doesn’t mean that driver is going to be helping with the cleanup. In other words, you’ll have to load the truck yourself. The clean-up hours are meant to keep things regulated and not disturb your neighbors on the weekend but that rigid timeframe might not always be convenient for your busy schedule. Then there is the issue of weight limits. Suppose you want to get rid of something like an old stove or refrigerator? Even a sofa could weight more than 50 pounds. According to the most recent information on the city’s website there are no scheduled clean-up projects.

If you’re looking to engage in your own clean-up project you don’t have to organize a committee and group of volunteers. All you have to do is contact Junk King Central Virginia. These are the junk removal specialists who can help you clean up your home and yards on your schedule. You’ll be getting a truck with Junk King but you’ll also be getting a two-man crew who will do all the work. That means any lifting and loading will be done by the JK team. Just tell them what you want removed and they’ll take it from there. As for the cost, you’ll only be charged by the amount of space your junk takes up on the truck. There will be no surprise charges! Don’t wait for your neighborhood to get its act together; get clean with Junk King Central Virginia today.
