In Nashville, state lawmakers recently sent a bill that authorizes the removal of the Occupy Nashville camp to Governor Bill Haslam for his signature. As with every other local state government, Tennessee is getting into the energy efficient business by setting up projects that will be sponsored by the Clean Tennessee Energy Grant program. The funding from these projects comes from the April 2011 Clean Air Act Settlement with the Tennessee Valley Authority. As part of this settlement the state will receive over $26 million to fund clean air projects.
